Which $QUIT is real? Three checks before you buy.
Quit Your Job ($QUIT) is a meme coin on Solana about Gary, an office worker who strapped two fire extinguishers to his chair and left through the ceiling.
The contract address is not public yet. It is posted on x.com/quityourjobfun when the coin is created, and any address you see before then is not ours.
Names and pictures are free to copy. The contract address is the one thing a copy cannot share, so run these three checks before you buy, and again whenever a link reaches you from somewhere new.
1. The contract address matches, character for character
The contract address, also called the CA or the mint address, is the coin's ID on Solana. Two coins can share a name. They cannot share an address.
Once the coin is created, its address is published in two places: the token facts page and the pinned post on x.com/quityourjobfun. Those two must match each other, and the coin in front of you must match them.
- In Phantom: search by pasting the address, never by typing the name. To check a coin you already hold, open its page, scroll to the About section on a phone (Info in the browser extension) and read the Mint field.
- On pump.fun: a coin's page lives at pump.fun/coin/ followed by its contract address, so the address at the end of that web address has to match, character for character.
- Everywhere else: copy and paste the address rather than retyping it, then check every character. An address that ends in the same letters proves nothing: anyone can make one.
2. The link came from an official source
Open $QUIT links only from quityourjob.fun, x.com/quityourjobfun, the official Telegram group or the Instagram account @quityourjobdev. A link in a reply, a DM, an ad or a sponsored search result can lead anywhere, even when the name and picture look right. Fake accounts often change a single character of the handle, so make sure the X account reads @quityourjobfun and the Instagram account reads @quityourjobdev exactly. The official accounts list names every one of them.
Is quityourjob.fun the official site of $QUIT? Yes. When the coin is created, its metadata will list https://quityourjob.fun as its website and x.com/quityourjobfun as its X account, and that metadata cannot be changed afterwards.
3. Nobody from the team messaged you first
Will an admin message me? No. Admins never DM first. Anyone who does is not from Quit Your Job.
They never ask for a recovery phrase either. That is the list of 12 or 24 words that controls a wallet, and whoever holds the words holds the coins. If someone messages you first with help, a giveaway, a presale or a fix for your wallet, block them, whatever the name and picture say. Gary left through the ceiling. He did not leave a forwarding address in your DMs.
When all three checks pass, read the token facts, including what holding $QUIT does and does not mean. The buying guide covers the rest, one step at a time.
Is $QUIT the same as other coins called QUIT?
Other tokens use the QUIT name or ticker, including another token called Quit Your Job (QUIT) that an unrelated account created on October 12, 2026, Quitcoin (QC) and The Last Job (QUIT). They are separate projects. The only $QUIT contract this team runs is the one published at quityourjob.fun/token-facts.
Copies of $QUIT with the same name and picture are expected. Coins named Quit Your Job, or using the ticker QUIT, were on pump.fun before this one, including one created on October 12, 2026, a week before launch. Being older does not make a coin the real one, and neither does coming first in a search. The address decides.
What the team will never do
Nobody from Quit Your Job, on the website, X, Telegram or email, will:
- DM you first.
- Ask for your recovery phrase or a private key.
- Ask you to send SOL or $QUIT to verify a wallet, claim something or fix a problem.
- Ask you to approve a transaction you did not start.
Signing a message is not a payment
Does quityourjob.fun ask me to connect a wallet? Only when you choose to. Watching the game and playing the arcade never need a wallet. If you buy on this site, lock an EX-EMPLOYEES design or start a coin, your own wallet asks you to connect and then to approve, and nothing moves until you approve it there. You can also buy on pump.fun. Nobody from Quit Your Job will ever ask for your recovery phrase.
Some holder features need to know which wallet is yours: signing in to the Break Room chat and claiming the billboard or the corner office. For those, the site asks your wallet to sign one message. Signing proves the wallet is yours. It sends nothing and costs nothing.
Telegram wallet checks run in the $QUIT bot. Start there from this link or from the official group.
A transaction is different, because it can move what is in your wallet. If a page that calls itself a verify step asks for a transaction or for your recovery phrase, close it. Fake verify bots work exactly that way.
Airdrops, giveaways and claim links
Coins and collectibles you never bought can land in any Solana wallet, often with a link to claim something. Leave that link alone. A $QUIT airdrop, giveaway or claim link is fake unless the same link is on quityourjob.fun and in a post on x.com/quityourjobfun.
Report an impersonator
- On X: report the account from its profile and choose the option for pretending to be someone else.
- On Telegram: tap or press and hold one of its messages (right-click on a computer) and choose Report. Telegram's own FAQ sends impersonation reports to @NoToScam.
- To the team: email the link and a screenshot to admin@quityourjob.fun.
If you already gave away your recovery phrase
Move whatever is left to a new wallet with a new recovery phrase, straight away. Nobody can reverse a Solana transaction, the team included, and anyone who offers to get lost coins back for a fee is running a second scam.
